
HIV rates continue to increase in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Rates of HIV infection in Australia’s Indigenous communities remain stubbornly high, even as they drop across the population.
New figures released today show that in 2017 Australia had its lowest number of new diagnoses in seven years.
But researchers say the disparity may be addressed by making treatments and preventative measures more accessible.
